5 Tips For Your Engagement Session: Monday Wedding Madness

Your engagement session is not only a great way for your to announce your engagement to your friends and family and for you to use on your save the dates, but it is also the first time you will be working with your photographer. Here are a quick 5 tips to make sure you will get the most out of your session.

1. Wear Comfortable Clothes

I know you want to look cute and stylish for your engagement session and that is great! Wear clothes that compliment your personality and that show off your personal style. Make sure they are outfits that you can stand and sit in comfortably. If you are uncomfortable during your session, it will show in the photographs. Also, for the ladies, if you plan to wear heels, considering bringing a comfortable pair of shoes to walk in between photos so your feet won't be killing you as you walk to the different locations.

2. Pick a Location You Love

Just like you want your clothes to reflect your personality, you also want your location to reflect your personality. If you aren't a naturesque couple, then having your portaits out in a field might not be the best idea. You can also incorporate locations that are significant to you and your fiance, a first date location, a park you like to visit, etc.

3. Consider Props

You can always bring props to your engagement session. This can be anything from a sign with your wedding date, to your dog, to something you both enjoy. Props help personalize the session to you.

4. Clean Your Ring

And don't forget your ring!!! Your photographer will want to get some awesome ring shots which will mean that some images will be zoomed into your ring. You will want to make sure it looks it's best so give it a quick cleaning before your session.

5. Have Fun

This one seems like a no-brainer, but it's easy to lose track of if you are trying to make sure you take the perfect picture. Your photographer will make sure you look your best, so try to relax and enjoy this time with your fiance. The best images will be taken when you least expect it and are having a fun moment between you two!
