I know, I know, I'm late on getting this post out! If you know me or follow my photography Facebook page, you will know that Jasmine Norris Photography got an actual office! Ever since I started my business I never really had an official office. It would just be my computer and where ever that computer went. In my husband and I's last two apartments we dedicated the spare bedroom to my office, but it still wasn't a place were I met with clients. I would just hole myself away in there editing photos and doing advertising. My husband and I purchased our first home in July and started remodeling. It's a beautiful 100 year old Victorian house that still has all of its original woodwork, it needed work and it still has a lot more work that we are going to do to it, but we are putting tons of love and care into it. One of the selling points of the house was that it's original living room had a separate enterance. We immediately knew that would be my photography office. Since July, I've been busy buying furniture and painting and getting it ready. Although it is not 100% complete, I'm doing the grand reveal since I've already used it for a couple consultations. I still want to get a couch/love seat for it and a couple of other little things that I haven't found the right ones yet.
My office will be the place were I edit, blog, and get client's sessions ready as well as where I do the whole business side of photography (taxes, bookkeeping, advertising, the fun stuff! haha) It will also be where I will hold my wedding consultations for my couples who live close to me and where I preview images with all my clients. Eventually, I will be putting in a mini studio, but that will be on down the road.
