I made it into the Top 10% for the Shoot & Share contest this year!!!! If you're not a photographer, then you may not be familiar with the Shoot & Share contest. It is a contest held each year for photographers and other photographers (and anyone else) get to vote for their favorite images. The best thing about this contest is that it is anonymous during voting. When you vote you have no idea who photographed the image until the winners are announced.
This year there were over 225,000 photos submitted from 120 different countries! How amazing is that?!?! This is my second year participating in the contest. Last year I submitted 10 images and 1 of them made it into the top 20% percent. This year I submitted the maximum number of images that you could, which is 50, and 7 of them made it into at the top 10%, 20% or 30%!!!!!! I am blown away! I was not expecting that many of my images to get that far! I wanted to do a little better than last year and I ended up doing a lot better! Next year, I'm striving for the top 100 :)
I always love this contest because it is so inspiring! I love seeing all of the other photographer's beautiful work and seeing all of the winners! It is so hard to choose favorite's during voting.
