Five Decor Tips For Planning A Rustic And Beautiful Barn Wedding: Wedding Wednesday

Many people are opting for a barn wedding. That's because it's the perfect backdrop for your special day. Barns provide a sense of rustic beauty. They create the perfect balance of wonder, magic, and a feeling of being out in the wild.

No matter who you are, you can enjoy a barn wedding for your big day. In order to finalize the overall look and theme, you'll want to decorate. Here are five tips to make decor that coincides with your barn-themed wedding.

Transform Ladders into Decor

If you're keeping with the rustic yet modern theme, old wooden ladders will help you accomplish that with ease. Find several you can prop up around the walls and entrance to the ceremony. These can be used to hold decor such as wedding photos, initials of the bride and groom, or little treats for guests. If you want to create a more sophisticated look, you can polish the wood to give it a bit of shine.

Flower Wagons

Children love traveling in wagons. If you have a flower girl or a ring bearer who is younger, you can give them what they love. Wagons compliment a barn wedding perfectly.

Find one that is wooden or metal. Line the sides with flowers, and pull the child down the aisle for your special day. Afterward, you can keep the wagon out as decor because the flowers will complement the colors your chose.

Get Creative with Wood

Wood can be used for almost any aspect of decor on your big day. When it comes to decorating tables, you can carve the table number into a piece of wood. You can also use wood as coasters, candleholders, and even little placards for a person's seat.

Wood can also be used to create decor around the barn. If you have a pallet lying around, you can transform it into a sign.

On each wooden row, write the event that will take place and what time. For example, you can write that at 6:00 p.m. dinner will take place. To finalize the look, line the pallet with white lights.

Burlap and Beauty

Nothing says a rustic wedding like burlap. When it comes to decorating the chairs for the big event, there are a few options. Use high-quality burlap to make bows to attach to the back of each chair. Let them drape down onto the ground or floor.

The color of the burlap compliments the wood of the barn. If you want to create a more feminine touch, consider adding some lace and a sunflower or baby's breath.

You can also use the same burlap and flowers to decorate the table where the bride and groom sit. You can use the burlap as a runner across the long table. You can line the same flowers you use for the seats in mason jars in front of each member of the bridal party. The best part is that these are all affordable wedding decorations.

Don't Throw Away Those Old Pails

Chances are that you or someone you know has tin pails lying around. These are essentially buckets made of metal that people have used for watering flowers or doing garden work. Now, they can be used an inexpensive wedding decor. Tie a burlap ribbon around them and fill them with baby's breath or the flower of your choice.

Remember

Your wedding is your special day. You can choose to decorate however you'd like. If you're choosing for a rustic barn wedding, then these tips will help you achieve the overall look and theme your heart desires.

The best part about barn weddings is the fact that you can make so much out of so little. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to create centerpieces, decor, and flower bouquets.
