Engagement sessions are so much fun! You get to celebrate your engagement and have this special time in your life documented. Here are 5 tips to make sure your outfit is perfect!
1. Do Dress Up
This is your engagement session so you will want to look your best! Wearing something that's dressy can help elevate your engagement photos. I always tell my couples to do two outfits, one that's dressy and one a little more casual.
2. Don't Forget The Accessories
Don't be afraid to wear a scarf or throw on a statement necklace. Accessories can really make the outfit! Also, remember your engagement ring! It will be front and center in some of your engagement portraits.
3. Do Coordinate
You do not need to worry about matching your outfits completely but you will want to make sure that you are coordinating your color palette. Wear colors and patterns that compliment each other. Also, if you are planning on using your engagement portraits for your save the dates, you will want to keep your wedding colors in mind so your outfits don't clash with the colors on your save the dates.
4. Do Layer
One tip I've always heard from fashionistas is that layering can take an okay outfit to a fashionable one! Don't be afraid to wear a blazer/jacket or add some additional clothing items to really pull your outfit together.
5. Don't Stress
Lastly, don't stress about your engagement session outfit! You don't need to go out and buy a new outfit or wear something that doesn't really represent you and your fiancé. Wear something that's comfortable and that you love!
