How To Love Your Wedding Day Rain Plan: Wedding Wednesday

How To Love Your Wedding Day Rain Plan Indiana Wedding Photographer Photography

If you are planning an outdoor wedding then the thought of rain on your wedding is probably the worst thing you can think of. You will want to have some sort of backup rain plan in place so you are not scrambling at the last minute to figure out what to do. If it does come down to having to put your rain plan into place, there are a few things that you can do to make sure you love your rain plan just as much as your original outdoor plan!

Book A Venue With A Great Indoor Space

This may seem counterintuitive if you are booking a venue for the outdoor space, but if you like the indoor space they offer as well then this makes it super easy to love your backup option as well.

Consider A Cover

You can still get married outdoors even with rain if you have a pretty cover! Renting a gorgeous tent that you can place over your ceremony location with open or clear sides can let you have the best of both worlds. You can be covered from the rain but still have the outdoor feel.

Bring Greenery In

Talk to your florist to see if they usually have a good amount of greenery in stock and if you could purchase it last minute for a backup plan. Or if you are already incorporating greenery into your reception decor, you can re-purpose it for your ceremony decor. If you drape your indoor venue in some greenery, it brings the outdoor feel inside. You can line the aisle with greenery, drape your altar in greenery, etc.
