Kim and Ash are married! YAY! These two first met online a few years ago. They chatted for awhile and then went on their first date. They hit it off right away and the rest is history! Fast forward a bit and Ash asked Kim for her hand in marriage and Kim obviously said yes!

They held their wedding over two days last week. On Thursday, they had a small private ceremony with just their family present at Kim's childhood parish, St Marys Church in Frankfort, Indiana. Then on Friday, they had a larger reception with all of their friends and family at Black Iris Estate in Carmel, Indiana. They wanted to honor both of their cultures so they had an Indian fusion wedding. Thursday was more of the standard American wedding and then Friday was more of an Indian wedding. They filled their wedding with bright orange, red, and tropical greenery. They loved getting to celebrate their love with their friends and family and blend both of their cultures together.

One thing that you may not notice from the photos, is that there was a tornado seek shelter immediately warning about 15 minutes before we were supposed to start their couple portraits on the reception day. I was photograping the reception set up while Kim and Ash were getting ready and we all got several "seek shelter" text messages. The venue quickly escorted us (and a few folks who had pulled over from the side of the road for shelter) to the basement to keep us safe. Luckily, the storm blew over fast and no harm was done. It's a story that will certainly make their wedding unique and you may see just a few photos from the basement in this blog because I had to document a few photos for them to look back on!
