Jerry and Vlada are married! YAY! These two are Juniors at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and that is where they first met almost three years ago. Vlada was a teaching assistant in one of Jerry's classes, they hit it off and the rest is history! Jerry asked Vlada for her hand in marriage while they were on a walk at the Celery Bog. Vlada obviously said yes!
Their wedding on Monday was just perfect! The planned a small and intimate wedding with 20 of their family and friends present. They held their ceremony at the Tippecanoe Courthouse in Downtown Lafayette, Indiana and then they headed over to The Whittaker Inn in West Lafayette, Indiana for their reception. They didn't want a full on party for their reception so they decided to have an intimate dinner and cake cutting instead. Jerry and Vlada's wedding was filled with family traditions as well. Vlada's family lives across the world and were not able to attend but they set up a live stream of the event with a phone and a tripod so her mom would be able to attend the celebration from afar. Vlada's mother also sent over some special chocolates for their reception and Jerry and Vlada made bags that were filled with trinkets from Vlada's country that each of their guests got to take home. The ring that Jerry proposed with is a 3rd generation Tiffany & Co. ring that was his grandmothers and the cake server they used was a 140 year old heirloom that's been a part of 5 generations weddings! It was a special day!
