Top Tasks To Delegate On Your Wedding Day: Wedding Wednesday

Top Tasks To Delegate On Your Wedding Day Indiana Wedding Photographer Photography

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and it can be overwhelming to think about all the details that need to be taken care of. That's why delegating tasks to trusted friends, family members, and wedding vendors can be a great way to take some of the stress off yourself and ensure that everything runs smoothly. Here are some top tasks to delegate on your wedding day:

Coordinating With Vendors:

While you will want to have communication with your wedding vendors personally throughout the planning process and they will need to talk to you directly as well, you can still delegate certain tasks to a wedding planner or family member. Appoint someone to be their day of contact so you won't have to answer phone calls and texts while you are getting ready. This person can make sure that everyone arrives on time and that everything is set up properly.

Setting Up Decorations:

Assign someone to be responsible for setting up decorations, such as centerpieces, place cards, and other special touches. This person can work with the venue or wedding planner to ensure that everything looks perfect. There are rental companies that will also set up the decorations for you as well!

Assisting With Dress and Attire:

Choose someone to be in charge of helping the bride and bridesmaids with their dresses, and the groom and groomsmen with their suits. This person can help with last-minute touch-ups, making sure everyone is looking their best for the big day.

Managing Guest Lists:

Assign someone to be in charge of managing the guest list, checking in guests as they arrive, and directing them to their seats. This person can also help ensure that everyone is comfortable and has everything they need.

Handling Emergencies:

Choose someone to be in charge of handling any emergencies that may arise, such as a spill or a missing item. This person can keep a small emergency kit on hand with items like safety pins, a sewing kit, and stain remover.

Coordinating Transportation:

Appoint someone to be in charge of coordinating transportation for the wedding party, ensuring that everyone arrives at the ceremony and reception venues on time.

Handling Gifts and Cards:

This is an important one that is often overlooked. Assign someone to be responsible for collecting gifts and cards from guests, and making sure they are safely stored until after the wedding. After the wedding, the last thing you will want to do is gather up all the gifts and cards so have someone else do this and deliver them to you after the wedding.

Managing The Timeline:

Choose someone to be in charge of managing the timeline for the day, ensuring that everything runs according to schedule. A wedding planner is great for this but if you don't have one, have someone double check the timeline to keep things on track.

By delegating these tasks, you can focus on enjoying your special day, knowing that everything is being taken care of by trusted friends and family members. Delegation can help reduce stress and allow you to fully enjoy every moment of your wedding day.
