Meet the adorable Kathleen and Pritesh! Raise a glass for these two because they had their wedding celebrations this weekend! I was able to photograph their Mehndi Ceremony last Thursday and it was just spectacular! A Mehndi ceremony/party is a pre-wedding celebration that kicks off the wedding festivities that are usually spread over a few days.
Kathleen and Pritesh held their Mehndi Ceremony at the Bharatiya Temple and Cultural Center of Greater Lafayette in West Lafayette, Indiana. A lot of their friends and family attended and almost all of them got their own Mehndi done for the wedding celebration. Kathleen and Pritesh really wanted Kathleen's Mehndi journey documented from start to finish to show the progression of the Mehndi. Kathleen mentioned that this is probably going to be the only time in her life where she has this much elaborate Mehndi done and wanted lots of photos of the process. She had both sides of her arms done and both of her legs. Her designs were elaborate and so pretty (there are even elephants!). She started her Mehndi around 10am and got done around 4pm!
After the Mehndi Ceremony, Pritesh and Kathleen held a welcome dinner for all of their friends and family at Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayette, Indiana. They rented out the whole restaurant and spent the evening drinking, eating, and dancing with their friends and family.
