As a lot of you may know, I spent the first Monday and Tuesday of February in Virginia at a wedding photography workshop hosted by the amazing Katelyn James of Katelyn James Photography. Katelyn started her wedding photography business while she was in college and ran it out of her bedroom. She is now one of the premier wedding photographers in Virginia (and outside of Virginia as well!).
She invites about 16 photographers from all over the world into her home a few times each year to teach them what she has learned in her 7 years in business and provide helpful guidance. I have been wanting to participate in one of her workshops for a couple of years now but never took the leap. I decided to go ahead and take the leap and sign up and I am so glad that I did! I learned so much from Katelyn and loved meeting the other photographers who were in attendance. I have already started applying what I learned and will continue to do so and I know that it is going to make the experience for my couples even better!
Towards the end of the first day of the workshop there was a styled shoot at the amazing Dover Hall. And OH MY was it beautiful! I have to wait a little bit to show you images from the shoot, but I have included a few behind the scenes images below.
