You may remember Sarah and Matt from their beautiful engagement session last fall in Kokomo, Indiana. Sarah and Matt tied the knot on Saturday in South Bend, Indiana and it was beyond gorgeous!
Sarah and Matt have been together for over 5 years. They met in 2009 through mutual friends at a Norte Dame tailgate. They hit it off an have been together ever since! Matt ended up proposing to Sarah at a Gaelic Storm Concert in 2015 in Columbus Ohio. Sarah's whole family was in attendance so they got to witness the proposal which is super awesome!
They held their ceremony at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and had a Catholic service with some of their immediate family reading the vows. Their reception was held at the Tippecanoe Place. The Tippecanoe Place used to the the Studebaker mansion and it is absolutely gorgeous! They had their cocktail hour on the second floor bar and then their reception was held in one of the upstairs ballrooms that used to be the art gallery back when it was the Studebaker Mansion. The history of the mansion is just awesome and I got to talk briefly to one of the workers about it's history. It has 7 floors with only a few being accessible to the public, tons of underground tunnels that go to places that the Studebaker's used to frequent including a church, the Studebaker factory, a bank, and the house next door that was his son's home (obviously the tunnels are blocked off now), and the mansion is haunted. The lady I spoke to said she believes it is haunted by Mr. Studebaker himself since once she told a joke about him to her guests and a ton of glasses shattered! She said most of the people who work in the mansion have had some sort of ghost sighting.
Sarah and Matt's wedding was filled with navy and white with touches of silver and gray. They had white milk glass filled with gorgeous blue and while hydrangeas throughout the reception as well. Their wedding was filled with their family and closest friends and it was perfect. They had The Jason Wells Band close up their reception. They both went to see the band after one of their friends suggested him to them and they loved him so much they decided to bring him to their reception so their guests could experience them. They were great and played a mix of covers and original songs.
Enough of my ramblings... Enjoy some of my favorite's from their wedding below!
Sarah and Matt: I hope you are having a blast on your honeymoon! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day, it was an honor being able to document your wedding and I am so glad I got to meet you both!
