It's time for the Behind The Scenes blog for 2024! I know this is one of your favorite blogs because you get a glimpse into what I do behind the scenes on wedding days! I suck at taking behind the scene images, I'm always so busy photographing my couple's gorgeous weddings, but I have a few images for you!
2024 was an amazing year for me! Jasmine Norris Photography was published over 20 times and won 18 different awards, I photographed so many adorable couples in love in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Salem, and more, I was able to photograph Indiana Fashion Week, Eric and I a few fun vacations, and so much more!
First let's start with the behind the scene images!
I'm always too busy focusing on photographing my couples that I don't always get a lot of behind the scenes images but here are a few of me in action.

Some selfies at weddings, events, and of course, me carrying the bride's dress!

Sometimes I get to capture some funny faces.

The veil toss is always a favorite one of mine! The image just after this image is always the keeper BUT it's always fun to capture the veil tosser as well!

I started off the year with taking some new branding photos!

I got invited to participate in the ProPrints Pro Invitational again this year so the left image was my submission and it was based on the Sun Tarot Card. The second image was my testing things out with Mr. Wendell at home before the shoot.

Eric and I got to go to Chicago for a fun weekend with Park West for a VIP art auction. Ollie had a blast at the Ritz Carlton! We collected a couple of pieces of art and had a great time! Park West is my go-to for a lot of my art pieces.

I also got to wear some fun outfits!

Eric is a big Gordon Ramsay fan so we had to stop at Gordon Ramsay Burger while we were there and I stopped by Goyard for a new bag!

And I HAD to stop by the new Voodoo Doughnuts in Chicago! It's my favorite donut place!

I headed off to Vegas for WPPI! I love Vegas and am there at least once a year for shoots! This time I got to have a shoot with Fujifilm and test out their new cameras with Elvis and Priscilla!

I also attended WPPI! It's always good to continue learning as a photographer and this is my favorite photography conference.

While I was in Vegas, I had to stop by The Punk Rock Musuem! They opened just after I left Vegas last year so this was a must stop on this trip! I used to tour with Warped Tour so it was so much fun getting to see the Warped Tour exhibit along with all the other great punk rock artifacts! Highly recommend if you are in Vegas!

While Vegas is 24 hours, the hotel gyms are not so I did morning runs along the Vegas strip. I also stoped by Portnoy Gallery to meet artist Neal Portnoy and buy his original artwork of Queen Elizabeth to add to my collection!

Afroman comes to Lafayette every once in awhile and he hasn't been here in several years but he came back this year so Eric and I went to his show.

We also ran the .1k St. Patty's Day race!

Eric and I went out to see the eclipse! SO much fun!

We also watched a few other moon events throughout the year. I also wrote a story for Lafayette's Bicencential book and photographed this statue about senior cords at Purdue to go along with my story. Stay tuned next year for the book release!

Eric and I went to countless games throughout the year!

I ran into a past wedding couple of mine at a wedding. I also scored this original and autographed painting of John Wooden when Bruno's closed this year.

Eric and I took some updated photos with the lovely Angela Hartwig Photography.

I had an engagement session in Ann Arbor, Michigan so Eric tagged along and we saw some roadside attractions!

I won several awards this year and got to travel to New York to accept my Gold Stevie Award in the American Business Awards!

I was only in New York for like 36 hours but made the most of it! The view from the Marriott Marquis hotel was just perfect.

It's always an honor being recognized in The Stevie Awards!

I had a wedding in Salem this year so I did some exploring the day before the wedding!

And I HAD to visit my girl Elizabeth Montgomery and her Bewitched statue! I LOVED Bewitched as a kid and even taught myself the nose wiggle (and yes, I filmed myself wiggling my nose in front of the statue)!

I got to do some fun corporate shoots for Qdoba and Raising Canes!

Eric and I took a trip to Holland and stopped by the famous Root Beer Barrel on the way !

We had a blast and a nice relaxing trip in Holland.

I photographed the Indiana Fashion Week show at the State Fair.

I was a sponsor of Pride Lafayette this year and got to set up for Outfest. Also got to see Steveo walk through Outfest!

Besides sponsoring Pride, I also donated to lots of causes throughout the year and continued being a Carbon Neutral business. This year I also became a rain guardian for a rain garden in downtown Lafayette!

Eric and I went to Germanfest and ate way too much!

We went to the celebrate of 100 years of the Purdue Memorial Union and their time capsule opening.

We also got to check off seeing the Northern Lights from our bucket list! It was a blast getting to witness and photograph this!

I also apparently ate a copious amount of my favorite food truck, EMT, this year! These photos literally only represent a handful of times and we probably went at least 15 more time than this! haha

We ended the year at Carmel Christkindlemarkt!

And that's a wrap for 2024! Here's to 2025!
